For my part, I focus on U/X: the user experience. How does this company reach it’s client base? How do the consumers want to connect and how do they want to be served? I’m not satisfied to only look at how they’re connecting now, but how could they, how would they if they could? It begins with an intensive look at the technical side… that is to say, reading into the company’s current analytics. This means finding out how people are using the client’s web site and what people are doing when they visit the site— reports and numbers: what’s doing well and what’s not doing well.
