We all carry branding projects from beginning to end because the journey can be long, usually five years or more.

Christy reads everything. Fiction, non-fiction, magazines, newspapers. Her voracious appetite for ideas means she brings a very smart, literate self to the studio each day. We like that her reading has given her a broad perspective about character and culture. A good designer is more than a skilled processor of color and shape. Knowledge of all kinds is essential. It informs and liberates. It deepens every effort.

Christy Thrasher: In her own words...

"This studio is so unique because it really is a family environment. We work on projects together and share ideas. One thing Robert taught me was not to immediately go to the computer and start designing, which was my default. He really helped me go back to the basic process of an artist. When you have an idea, you sketch it out, you refine your sketch and then you paint it.

We spend a lot of time here researching and looking at relevant information. We go to the library and observe nature. We're looking for inspiration in everything as we search for the emotion of each design."
