Building a design studio with a global reputation and reach takes time.

Sustaining it over 25 years requires nurturance, talent and determination. Will a little luck help? Sure. But it never arrives on demand.

So we build partnerships that are mutually sustaining. Just as our clients value our contribution to their brand, we celebrate everyone from our photographers and printers to our messenger service. We have to integrate all our talent and hard work so that progress is steady and smooth and the outcome is great.

Javier has an instinctual grasp of the immensity of our work. One of his strengths is to see and then help define the overarching ideas and concepts that must guide us from start to finish. That's a big burden to carry. Yet he also works closely with the other designers to ensure that each tiny piece of the grand scheme is, unto itself, incomparable and impeccable.

Javier Leguizamo, in his own words...

"I could have stayed in San Diego, where I had a good, comfortable job with great people. But I wanted to push myself. I didn't want a career that was focussed solely on local work. Robert and Regina did a promotion for the 2000 millennial celebration that I saw and loved. It was timeless, simple and intelligent. I knew it was the kind of work I wanted to do.

"There aren't many firms like Regina Rubino/IMAGE: Global Vision and Robert Louey Design/Pagenova. This would be called a 'boutique' firm if you looked at just the size of it. But the scope of what they do tells an entirely different story. Most firms this size thrive locally, but never get an opportunity to work internationally. Since coming here, I've travelled to Asia and Europe — Shanghai, Paris, Hong Kong, London and Rome — it's allowed me to explore and be exposed to many experiences that support the work we do."
