2020. Time is relative.

According to the Gregorian calendar (which we use), the decade ends December 31, 2019. Which would make 2020 the beginning of a new decade. This is the also the majority opinion on the subject, but a majority at about 64% of people.

So what we refer to as the year 2020, marks the end of the second decade of the second millennium (Gregorian calendar). Hence January 1st marks the turning of the page as we enter the first year of the third decade.

That being said, our calendars are markers of an otherwise amorphous concept.

Time is relative.

This night will end the year and the morning will begin the 2020's.

Happy New Year!
