~ Henry David Thoreau
As technology and travel draws the world closer together, it's easy to get lost in the bandwidth that has become our life’s highway. While our lines of communication and reach are ever-expanding, time for those personal moments that define our relationships (and indeed our lives) seems to be diminishing proportionately.
The art of life is the feat of balancing expectations and enjoyments. Family time, relaxing and enjoying time with friends, meeting new people and exploring new horizons are the pastimes that re-energize us and put everything into perspective.
So I have just spent a wonderful long weekend celebrating with great friends. Some we see frequently, some only every few years, or even once or twice a decade. Makes no difference. When we are together it is as time does not exist, or it may be that the only time is the present, together. How very luck we are.
