Congratulations to Andaz Wall Street for a wonderful opening today!
The day-long celebration began with leaders of Hyatt Hotels Corporation ringing the opening bell at The New York Stock Exchange. Andaz is Hyatt's newest brand.
Andaz Wall Street is the only hotel situated on Wall Street and the third Andaz property to open. The first was Andaz Liverpool Street, which debuted November 2007 in a beautiful red brick Victorian building dating back to 1884. The historic site, located in the heart of London, features five restaurants and bars and thoroughly modern accommodations.
Andaz West Hollywood on Sunset Boulevard opened January 2009. For many years this establishment was affectionately known as The Riot House because it was a favorite resting and partying place for many touring music celebrities and groups, such as The Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Ray Charles and John Lennon. Our identity design was inspired by the rich musical past.
Andaz Wall Street is only the beginning of the new brand's expansion into Manhattan. Later this year, Andaz 5th Avenue will open its doors across from the New York Public Library. Next month Andaz San Diego opens and Austin is soon to follow.
We wish Hyatt every success with its innovative plan to bring simple yet sophisticated service (and indulgences) to the world's great cities.
