Sicilia

Emerging gracefully from the sparkling Mediterranean waters, the largest island in this sea, Sicily carried striking strategic weight for trade and commerce. From this rich, diverse history, a wealth of architectural influence sprung forth. Home to six UNESCO World Heritage sites, Arabs, Spaniards, Greeks, Normans, Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans and Ostrogoths all contributed to this culture's historical intersection of civilization, philosophy, art, and literature. Please travel with Rosa Loveszy through time and influence from Byzantine, to Islamic, to Baroque… all on one island, and in one visit.

Rosa will post several blog posts from her recent travel. We hope you will enjoy.
