High Tech and High Touch

There’s no doubt about it, Regina’s a rare bird. She’s a cool main driver who requires a high level of competence and structure from her team, yet she’s open to new ideas, hears what everyone has to say and is collaboration-driven. To be more informed, Regina asks for everyone’s opinion even if it’s not in one’s area of expertise. Everything is on the table, everyone presents their work to the team and her style of granting each project participant not only a voice, but sway in the outcome, creates a fearless willingness to contribute. This is all paramount to her process which relies on influences from diverse and well-considered elements.

Her process is both high tech and high touch with a deep-seated strength in communications. In other words, there are a lot of meetings and conference calls. Everyone stays informed of decisions and movements throughout the process, not just at the meetings, but via emails which are all cc’d to the entire team.

Every meeting whether physical or virtual, is an assembly of the think tank. Thoughts and ideas are contemplated before presenting. We’re prepared to delve into nuances of our thought stream, but we also need to be flexible enough to adopt another team member’s viewpoint as the lead raft, along what inevitably becomes the swift, strategic flow of ideas.

Regina’s is the cultivator and curator. She packages our most innovative and well-researched ideas, then harvests a carefully worded strategy.

Many clients aren’t experts in the field of technical brand strategy, so she’s often teaching as well as presenting. II’ve learned a lot about about illustrating the team’s point of view to the client, even when it wasn’t what they thought they wanted, but (in fact) they needed.

I’d say the most important thing to know when working on Regina’s team, is that it’s nothing, if it’s not well thought out.
