Planning for perspectives

One of the more immediate “payoffs” is the manifestation of creative vision into photograph. This is where the imaginary realm becomes reality, then returns to it’s two dimensional form to take it’s place within our printed page or digital position.

In the project progression, the vision and concept comes first, communicating the culture, personality and the story. The photographic style that captures the essence and the message, while allowing the unique aspects of the subjects personalities to emerge often allows us a choice of photographers. The location, the personalities and the schedule all play a role in the final decision.
We prepare a photo style guide for the shot, outlining the objectives, to ensure the look and feel, color, compositions, angles, lighting, mood, and emotion are just right... and consistent. Most importantly that all the elements of the project, including the imagery will tie into the overall brand program.

Once concept and style were set, team members are coordinated, locations need to be researched and scouted, technical needs determined and sourced. Finally timelines developed in order to accommodate the participants schedules, contingencies planned for in terms of lighting and weather.
Then comes the day(s) or weeks...and everything has to run like clockwork. This is where the importance of a great team comes in. We work together closely, before the shoot has even begun.
